What I Pieced Wednesday: 3

Again, not a ton done on my hexagon quilt (here and here).  This week I was working on making littlest sister's video for her soccer banquet.  My freshman sister got two varsity letters this year...so proud.
What a cutie

So here's what I've gotten done so far.

Goal for next week...finish at least half of it.  Or maybe even the whole top, we'll see!

Muse Monday: 1

So I discovered that I kind of...stink...at blogging on as much of a regular basis as I want to.  Meaning I'm going to attempt to make some sort of a schedule for myself.  Starting with Muse Monday.  Every Monday I'm going to post some of my favorite Pinterest finds from the week. (Hopefully I can stick to this)
If you have any ideas of things you'd like to see regularly, let me know!

What has been your muse lately?

What I Pieced Wednesday: 2

I didn't get a whole lot done on my hexagon quilt this week.  But it's something.
I also made these fun bracelets.

A reversible navy blue one.
This one was done all by hand, and no need to finish the edges, definitely the easiest.
And, my favorite.
Can you tell I love bows?
And finished them all with a button.  I just cut a slit in the grey one, and used part of a hair tie for the other two. (Please ignore the messy stitching.  My sewing machine was PMSing)

And I've finally been able to work on some of my
goals .  Scrapbooking.  I've gotten quite a bit done!  What have you checked off your to-to list recently?

Bokeh- My First One

I found this tutorial on how to make your own bokeh.  Of course, I fell in love and had to try my own.  So I made one...with a few adjustments to fit me.

Like I used a square punch to make all of my inserts, and just laid it on top of my lens cover (I'm not sure if that's what you'd call it) to measure the actual hole just a little smaller.

And I added three little tabs for easy sliding in and out of the inserts. -- Forgive how
messy the tape job is...I wanted to be thorough.

I went a little nuts and made a lot of inserts.

But only after I made them all I realized that the designs were too big and didn't photograph well.

Back to the drawing board...

tons of little ones.
And then, this...

My absolute favorite... LOVE

I LOVE IT. (I hope you do too!)

So go on,
make your own, have some fun.  I'll have to try some actual pictures using mine soon, but the pile of Christmas lights worked pretty well for practice.
P.S. I'm sorry that this was so long!

Happy Birthday, Sister!

My middlest sister's 21st is tomorrow.  Today the fam is going to see her to do dinner and take her out at midnight (Youngest sister gets to take a friend to hang out with when we go out).
This is old...but it kills me every time.
Happy birthday, sister!
