Reading the Bible Through in a Year

This is something I've always wanted to do, read the Bible through in a year.  For some reason or another, I've never done it so when a good friend from high school asked a few of us to commit to reading it with her, I jumped on the chance.  In case you didn't know, it only takes three pages a day.  Seriously, that's all! (If you're looking to do this, here's a great resource to get you started).

I am so incredibly blessed to have such wonderful women in my life.  And we've all stayed close, though our schools are scattered throughout the country (and at times throughout the world).

Every Sunday I'm going to share something awesome that I read/learned that week.  Since I'm reading in chronological order vs book order, it'll jump around a bit.

This week, if you've never read the book of Job before, I recommend it.  Seriously.

He [Job] replied, "...shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?" -Job 2:10

He [God] will yet fill your mouth with laughter  and your lips with shouts of joy.  Your enemies will be clothed in shame and the tents of the wicked will be no more. -Job 8:21-22

Wishing you all strength and faith like Job for anything you may be dealing with (:

  1. That's so awesome... I've never done it before either, though I started several times in highschool. Always got bogged down in Leviticus, so maybe the chronological Bible would help me plow through some of those tougher reads.
Looking forward to seeing what God teaches you each week! :)
